Friday Favorites 9.1.17

You know what time it is!  Time for this week’s Friday Favorites as I link up with Erika again sharing some of my favorite things.

This week’s first favorite is something I use every day.  It’s the “On This Day” button on Facebook.  I go to it each morning and it is so fun to see past posts I did on this same day over the years.  Super fun, like looking through old photo albums.

You probably know by now, I’m a reader.  (Did you catch my August book review the other day?)  Every reader needs a good book light and this one is my favorite.  I love that it’s rechargeable through USB and that it has 2 lights, one for each side of the book.

Photo from tieks.com - go see all their adorable colors!

Tieks!  Every girl needs a comfy flat shoe.  Well, these have been put to the test – just wore them all over Capitol Hill in D.C. (which is a ton of walking).  They've survived long days at work, at conferences, and even at one of our 12-hour long events which is held in a 100,000 square feet concrete exhibit hall.  Tieks passed with flying colors!  Cute and comfy.  I just got the California Navy pair and I’m excited to wear them with Seahawks gear this football season.

Also, how cute is their packaging?  They come with a flower and a cute box that matches their signature Tieks blue sole.  They always come with a handwritten note, and a lil satchel to fold them up and put them into that makes them easy to travel with or carry in my purse.

Bonus:  when I organized my house using the Konmari method, I learned to not buy new organizing supplies and instead start thinking of what I have already.  I use the Tieks boxes in my nightstand drawers to organize things.  I spy my book light in one of the boxes!

Another favorite is the patriotic themed centerpieces that my staff and my goddaughter made for our recent work luncheon.  We serve military veterans so the theme suited us perfectly.  Each centerpiece was unique and I think they were my favorite from all the luncheons we’ve hosted.

Also, how cute was our team in their red, white, and/or blue attire for the event?  We always match our attire to our theme.  My staff - they're my favorite too!

My final favorite this week is a follow-up to last week’s trip to Color Me Mine with my 3 goddaughters.  Is this not the perfect lil smiley heart tile made by a 4-year old?  She did so great painting it on her own with only a lil help from me.  I love it!

Thanks for reading my Friday Favorites from the week.  By the way, I've now officially been blogging for a month.  I've loved it so much already.  Thank you to my loyal followers.  I've been having fun getting messages from so many of you telling me what you're reading based on my book reviews, or what you recently purchased or ate because you read about it on my blog.  I also love that this blog is being read around the world.  Thank you all for following.  My heart is full!

TGIF and have a great weekend, everyone!
