Friday Favorites 8.11.17

  It’s that time again, guys!  Here are my Friday Favorites for the week.

My first favorite for the week is my love for surprising loved ones.  The other day, it was my cousin’s birthday and she was vacationing in Maui (still jealous) and I called her hotel concierge to send up a surprise on my behalf in honor of her birthday.  I had a card sent up with this lovely plate of chocolate covered strawberries complete with little white chocolate leis on some of them.  It was a favorite moment when she got her surprise!

Next up:  George - the concierge at Grand Wailea Maui - you are a favorite!  Who doesn't love great customer service?  George was so helpful with the strawberry delivery.  He didn’t stop there.  In the process of planning the surprise, we figured out that we are both from the Philippines.  I mentioned that when we vacation back home in the Philippines, our family always passes through his hometown on the way to ours.  I told him we love to have halo-halo (a Filipino dessert) at Max’s and he promptly let me know that there’s an even better restaurant for it but he couldn’t remember the name.  Awhile later, after he had already emailed me confirming the strawberries, he emailed me the name of the restaurant.  For my readers in the Philippines, it’s Razon's.  I mean, yay, thanks for the follow-up, George!  We'll definitely try it out next time.

This next one has my travel-loving self super excited.  My Known Traveler Number arrived!  Hello, TSA pre-check (for the next 5 years).  Woohoo!  I finally applied and got my fingerprinting done.  In less than one week, I got my traveler number that’s gonna get me right on through airport security without the usual hassle.  I don’t have to take my shoes off anymore!  No more tiptoeing while waiting to enter the body scanner machine.  Seriously, I tiptoe - because how many other bare feet have been there before me?  I got to use my new perk this week when I traveled to Seattle.  Thank ya very much.

Speaking of Seattle, this brings me to my next favorite.  Seahawks Training Camp!  Football is finally back, folks.  Be still, my heart.  I loved being there yesterday watching my favorite team train, on the lake, with some of my favorite people.  We had a blast!  More to come about my love of Seattle in a future travel post.

I love my Seahawks and I love dressing the part.  This week's last favorite is my new tank top that I got for this season, which made it's debut at Training Camp yesterday.  It's grey - my favorite color, and personalized with my name and my favorite player’s number.  #89 Doug Baldwin, I’m looking at you!
